A disagreement over a bet landed one man in jail.

WEDNESDAY, NOV. 21

Car accident ends in minor injuries and a DUI arrest

Tara Brown, 28, of the 100 block of S. Cooper Road, was cited for DUI and failure to reduce spped to avoid an accident after reportedly rear-ending a vehicle in the 600 block of E. Route 30.

According to Deputy Police Chief Bob Pawlisz, the driver of the car that Brown struck complained of neck soreness and was taken to Silver Cross Hospital. The injuries appeared to be minor, he said.

However, while investigating the accident, police say Brown smelled of alcohol and later failed a field sobriety test. She posted bond.

THURSDAY, NOV. 22

Shortly before 2 a.m. on Thanksgiving day, police were called to Tom Kelly's Restaurant in the 400 block of DeGroate Road. According the report, Jeremiah Driscoll, 24, Frankfort, was arrested for allegedly fighting with a man over a disagreement about a bet. 

Driscoll was charged with battery and posted bond.

Burglary from dog grooming shop

Police say they were called to All 4 Paw's Grooming in regard to a burglary. According to the report, someone entered the business and stole an unknown amount of money. Police are investigating the incident.
