Bad Checks Passed at New Lenox Currency Exchange
Somebody cashed two bogus checks at the New Lenox Currency Exchange.
The New Lenox Currency Exchange cashed a pair of checks Thursday morning and then found out they were bad, police said.
An "officer was dispatched to the New Lenox Currency Exchange reference a complaint of deceptive practice," police said. "The complainant advised an unknown person cashed two checks which were later determined to be fraudulent."
The police did not say how much the bad-check-passer took the Currency Exchange for.
The New Lenox Police Department's investigations division was to review the matter.
