Backpack Stolen From Car Parked in New Lenox

There was a laptop and some "personal items" in the stolen backpack police said.

A backpack was stolen out of a car parked in New Lenox.

The crook targeted a car parked on Turtledove Lane, police said.

On the evening of July 10, an "officer was dispatched to the New Lenox Police Department in reference to a complaint of burglary to motor vehicle," police said. "The complainant advised an unknown person entered her vehicle and removed a backpack containing personal items and a laptop computer."

Police said they found no sign of forced entry on the vehicle.
