Alleged Wal-Mart Shoplifter Caught at Lowe's: Blotter

SUNDAY, MAY 5

Alleged Shoplifter Caught

Jeffrey Wordelmann, 52, of the 1200 block of Maple Street, Blue Island, was charged with retail theft, according to a report. Police were called at about 8:27 a.m. to Wal-Mart, 500 E. Lincoln Hwy. An employee told police someone stole merchandise and left. Wordelmann was arrested at Lowes, located in the 2400 block of East Route 30, after a person matching his description was reported.

Speeding Driver Hit With DUI

Thomas Cosgrove, 40, of the 1200 block of Shagbark Road, New Lenox, was charged with driving under the influence and speeding, according to a report. Police stopped at car for speeding at about 3:01 a.m. near the intersection of Laraway Road and Stonebridge Drive. Cosgrove was arrested after an investigation by police. He posted bond and was released.

SATURDAY, MAY 4

DUI For Puerto Rico Driver

Jose Fuentes-Jimenez, 31, of the first block of Calle Regina Medina, Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, was charged with driving under the influence, driving without insurance, disobeying a traffic control device and speeding, according to a report. Police spotted a car that driven through a traffic control device while speeding. Police stopped the car and, after conducting an investigation, arrested Fuentes-Jimenez. He posted bond and was released.

FRIDAY, MAY 3

$400 Worth Of Stuff Taken From Wal-Mart

A thief took off with about $400 worth of merchandise from Wal-mart, 501 E. Lincoln Hwy., according to a report. Employees called police at about 9:28 p.m.
