Alleged Steak Knife Head-Stabber Gets October Court Date

A Lockport man charged with stabbing his girlfriend in the head with a steak knife was ordered to return to court next month.

A Lockport man jailed for allegedly stabbing his girlfriend in the head with a steak knife appeared in court Friday and was ordered to be brought back again next month.

Daniel Bandemer, 33, was charged with stabbing his live-in lover in the head during an argument over money at their South Jefferson Street home in July. He is being held at the county jail in lieu of $500,000 bond.

Bandemer faces charges of attempted first-degree murder, aggravated domestic battery, aggravated battery and interfering with the reporting of domestic battery. He's looking at a possible 30 years in prison.

Bandemer was scheduled to return to court Oct. 10.
