Alleged Hickory Street Nightmare Killer's Letters For Sale on Website

If you're still Christmas shopping, three letters supposedly penned by alleged Nightmare on Hickory Street killer Bethany McKee can be yours for less than $50.

The website Dark Vomit's True Crime, a "macabre and outsider art gallery" of "serial killer and true crime collectibles," has the letters for sale in two separate listings.

The first, "2 different letters with the envelopes they were sent in, by double murderer (sic) suspect, Bethany McKee," is priced at $22.50 (reduced from $30).

"Each letter is signed and envelopes are postmarked March 20, 2013 and April 15, 2013," the website says. "Letters consists (sic) of correspondence with a penpal (sic) in which she is apprehensive of the individuals (sic) intentions and concerned they (sic) might be a reporter. She explains reasons she feels of (sic) her life going downhill. She signs the letters at the end with "XOXO Bethany McKee XOXO" (with hearts)."

The second listing, marked down to $18.25 from $25, is for "2 page handwritten letter (4 pages written on both sides) from double murderer (sic) accomplice, Bethany McKee (Joliet Double Murders) with 2 photos."

"Letter consists of correspondence with a penpal (sic) in which she speaks of various topics. Including how terrible her mugshot was ... and included a 'much better picture.' for the penpal, (with torn edges, pictured below)—along with another picture of her and her daughter," the site says. "She writes within the letter, 'My next court date is May 31st. Hopefully, on that court date tha (sic) judge will make a decision about the gag order. I jus want to to start on tha (sic) important stuff. I'm sick of tha (sic) arguments tha b.s. media has all they care about is money not tha (sic) victims or any of tha (sic) families, sad!'"

The site goes on to tell how McKee "signs the letters at the end with a huge heart '-Bethanii McKee.'"

McKee, 19, along with three of her friends—Adam Landerman, 20, Alisa Massaro, 19, and Joshua Miner, 25—all face first-degree murder charges in connection with the strangulation deaths of Eric Glover and Terrance Rankins, both 22, in January.

According to police reports obtained exclusively by Patch, Massaro and McKee lured Rankins and Glover to Massaro’s home on Hickory Street in Joliet, where Miner and Landerman choked the two men to death. After the killings, Massaro and Miner had sex atop the dead men’s bodies, the reports said. The four then concocted a plan to dismember the corpses of their victims and began procuring supplies, including a blowtorch, to carry out the plan, the reports said. Miner reportedly intended to keep the dead men’s teeth as trophies.

The Dark Vomit website is apparently run by an artist named Kelly Hutchison. In an interview with "Murderzine" posted on the Dark Vomit site, Hutchison says, "I have been using the name 'Dark Vomit' for just about 10 years now. I came up with the name to use as an alter-ego with my art, as it always has seemed fitting for me."

The website sells all manner of serial killers memorabilia, including "personal items," prison art, "random oddities," and hand tracings. It also peddles Ku Klux Klan curios.

McKee's letters are a relatively cheap buy compared to other wares on the Dark Vomit site: a letter from the Son of Sam goes for $450, a John Wayne Gacy original "Pogo the Clown" painting is priced at $2,250, and a Richard Speck mug shot can be had for $60.
