Traffic stop nets drunk driver

Thomas Vitelli, 39, Joliet, was stopped for improper lane usage at Route 30 and Interstate 80. At that time, police noticed that he had been drinking. He was ticketed for both offenses.

Manhattan man gets DUI

Adam DeCaire, 27, Manhattan, was stopped in his car for speeding and improper lane usage at Cedar Road and Third Avenue. According to the report, police discovered that he had been drinking. He was ticketed for DUI, speeding, improper lane usage and operating an uninsured vehicle.

Vehicle damaged

Police say someone filed a criminal damage to property complaint after noticing that the side of her car had been scratched while parked in the 500 block of E. Route 30. Police are investigating the incident.

$1,500 worth of fraudulent purchases made

 Police say someone from the 2300 block of E. Route 30 used his debit card without his permission, racking up $1,500 worth of charges. A fraud complaint was filed. Police are investigating the matter.

FRIDAY, JAN. 11

Car window broken

Someone from the 300 block of N. Vine Street filed a criminal damage to property complaint after vandals broke a window. Police are investigating the report.
