Below are the highest paid employees of the Bolingbrook Police Department and Bolingbrook Fire Department. This information comes from a Patch FOIA request for salary and benefit information for 2012.

The "Other" category can include contributions such as overtime, pension contributions, bereavement and company car and cell phones, among others. 

About 8 pecent of a Bolingbrook property tax bill goes to the village. The total village levy in 2012 was $16,346,000, according to village documents.

    Mayor is second on the list, with the water guys!! I'm sure he gets more kick back then it says. I just meant they risk their life, sorry didn't mean to be negative about them coming home. You know what I meant. Just doesn't seem right!

    I don't think this is our business! I have always been told to NOT discuss salary with peers. Now u have publicized it to the world. Not happy wih the Patch! Also, the work long hours. They put their lives in jeopardy to protect us. They deserve the pay

    Geez, those base salaries seem low. I thought they did a little better than that. It appears some of them are really taking advantage of any available overtime (other) to get a decent paycheck. Good for them. When you do more with less, overtime is the by-product.
