$14,000 Worth of Fraud Transactions: Police Blotter
Slashed tires, car burglary and criminal damage to property probed by New Lenox police.

Credit card stolen and $8,000 in charges stacked up
Police say a man complained that his wallet stolen at a party, the location of which was unknown. The man's debit card was used for a total of $6,000 in unauthorized purchases. Police are investigating the case as fraud.

Driving on a suspended license
Tequila Zabala, 36, Joliet, was stopped for speeding at Francis Road and Silver Cross Blvd. Police discovered that his license had been suspended as well. He was ticketed for both violations.

TUESDAY, JAN. 8
Door decoration stolen
Someone from the 1000 block of Shagbark, filed a theft complaint after a decoration on the front door of her home was stolen.
$8,000 in unauthorized purchases
Police are investigated a fraud complaint filed by someone from the 700 block of Churchill. According to the report, a debit card was stolen. Police are investigating the matter.
Car burglarized
Someone from the 2800 block of Sharon told police that two wallets were taken in a car burglary. The debt charged to the credit cards in those wallets totaled to $8,000. The incident is under investigation.

MONDAY, JAN. 7
Stopped for littering, arrested on a warrant
Ryan Dominski, 18, of the 600 block of Joliet Highway, was stopped after police reportedly saw him throwing trash from his vehicle at Cedar Road and 4th Avenue. Upon investigation, police learned that he was wanted on a failure to appear warrant from Flossmoor. Dominski was also ticketed for littering, police said.
Tires slashed
Police are investigating a complaint for criminal damage to property in the 1000 block of Kris Street. According to the report, the tires were slashed on the car. Police are investigating the incident.
