Who Won the Vice Presidential Debate?

Joe Biden and Paul Ryan sparred on Thursday night over domestic and foreign policy issues in Danville, KY. Who do you think won tonight's debate?

Most voters will probably agree that tonight's vice presidential debate was far more interesting than last week's first round of presidential debates for this election.

Both candidates came out swinging and didn't let up.

The next debate returns the focus to presidential candidates Barak Obama and Mitt Romney at Hofstra University in New York on Tuesday, Oct. 16. The debate begins at 8 p.m. Central Standard Time.

Who do you think won Thursday night's debate? Do you think it will sway independent voters? Vote in our poll and tell us your thoughts in comments below.

Biden is an idiot and acted like a snotty child for the whole debate. How did this stooge make it to the VP spot?

I would call the V-P debate a draw. Ryan was more articulate, had a greater command of government fiscal numbers, was more courteous and respectful toward his opponent, and showed that he was a likeable young man. Ryan could responsibly serve as the nation's vice-president. Biden came across in the debate as rude to his opponent, he also failed to be as agile when recalling relevant facts and figures, but he showed that he can fill the # 2 slot for his boss when needed. I would call it "a draw" with neither guy coming across as being quite ready yet to be the # 1 player. The heavy millstone that Biden and Obama must drag along behind themselves at these debates is "the record for the last 4 years". It is akin to throwing perfume on a pig wearing lipstick. The aroma of the pig still reekes through despite the other distractions placed on and around the pig.

Clearly the Vice President! If calling out clear lies and not letting Lyin Ryan get away with his fantasies makes him a snotty child, I will take that snotty child any day of the week. It amazes me how when Romney spewed and interrupted, well he was the clear winner. But when it's your side taking a beating...oh geez he was unprofessional! I guess Ryan still didn't have time to lay out how they are going to pay for those tax cuts and his foreign policy explanations or lack there of left something to be desired!!! Get used to it people, you lie, you get called out!!

Ryan was clearly the winner. He has way more class than Joe. It's so great Joe can laugh his classless head off at a country that is in a serious sad state of affairs. Joe is a liar. He did vote for the wars, but bold faced lied to the American people last night because he thinks we are so stupid. When you have nothing intelligent to say, talk over, yell, lie, and laugh. That's the way to be Joe. Everyone knows Joe is a lying liar who lied about not knowing they asked for more security at our embassy. Joe threw our intelligence people under the bus knowing full well he is a liar. Anyone old enough would also recall he is guilty of plagiarism too. Look up why he dropped out of the 1988 presidential race.

Well put, could not think of anything else to add or change.

So whatever Biden says is factual and does not have to substantiate his position. Ryan on the other hand just lies and lies. You should listen to the fact finders today to see that both of them had some whoopers. As for Biden and Romeny - Romeny interrupted less than Biden and it was a different format. Many of Bidens interruptions were during Ryan's 2 minute response to the question. Sounds more like a blinded democrat and before you call me a republican I am a true independent. Haven't decided who I am going to vote for, however the 2 debates has me leaning republican.

Are we focused on the important issues? It appears to me that the important issues are rarely being considered! Abortion and same sex marriage do not put food on the table or help make car payments. Where we are and where we need to be is what we should be asking ourselves. We should be asking why the economy hasn’t improved in the last four years. Why hasn't Obama implemented a jobs program not in the election year but back in 2009 or even 2010? Why hasn't Obama found a way to support small business which employs 75% of the total US workforce? Why does Obama continue to bleed the US by paying for Mexico's poverty problem? Why doesn't he force Mexico to address their own poverty problems; and why should they when the current administration is more than willing to spend the money that could be spent to take care of you on them! What does Obama care do for you? Have you read the specifics detailed in the Obama care plan? Democrats and republicans alike need to be greatly concerned. It makes me wonder why it was even initiated. With the exception of the media and holly wood personnel (they make their money based on arguments and dissention) are you better off today than you were four years ago? Why don't we focus on the real issues and not get caught up in voting for abortion, same sex marriage, and other controversial issues.
