What do you get when you mix delicious pie recipes, a mystery involving a grouchy cat and a pie crust recipe? PIE.

It is 1955 and 10-year-old Alice always loves spending her days at her Aunt Polly’s pie shop. People travel from all over the country came to eat the Pie Queen’s pies.

When Polly passes away unexpectedly Alice is heartbroken. She leaves her world famous secret pie crust recipe to her cranky cat Lardo and leaves the cat in her will to Alice.

Alice is trying to solve the mystery of the pie crust & the whole town seems to have gone crazy trying to replace Aunt Polly as the pie queen.

What happens next brings Alice closer to her mom, and solves the mystery with a delicious plot twist. It leaves the reader to realize that the things that really matters are family and friendship, and that sometimes things aren’t always what they seem and people can always surprise you.
