Fix our train station
Has anybody ever noticed that all the buildings used by employees of New Lenox are beautiful architectural gems and the train station used by almost 1,000 residents daily is the oldest, ugliest and poorly designed train station on the entire Rock Island line? The parking lot floods and the majority of parking spaces are quite far from the boarding platform.
There is also an absence of security cameras which has proven to be a candy store for catalyst converter thieves.
When the village raised the parking fee from $1.00 to $1.25 for 'maintenance,' I have only one question. Where's the maintenance?
