AMC Theatre "evacuation" on 12/30/13

Was anyone at the AMC Theatre in NL the other night when they "evacuated" due to water damage. Just curious how this was handled. We had a group of 6 12 year olds who stood outside for about 10 minutes waiting for their ride. (If you'll remember, it was VERY cold that night.) Not saying that anything was necessarily done "wrong", just that our boys were told they "had to leave" so they did. Not quite smart enough to say "can we wait inside until our ride gets here?"
