Liberty Students Participate in Soldier's Angels

Liberty Students Participate in Soldier's Angels

Liberty Jr. High seventh graders had an opportunity to "adopt" two deployed soldiers through the Soldier's Angels Program. Every year, 7th Grade Language Arts Teacher Priscilla Gott participates in this remarkable effort with her students. Over the course of the year they sent letters, posters, and raised money to send care packages.  When both of the soldiers
were home on leave, they took some time to come visit the students.  In preparation for the visit, the 7th Graders cut out stars and on the front wrote why they are thankful for the service members and on the back wrote a question to ask them.  At the end of the special meeting, EVERY student choose to wait in line and shake the hand of the soldiers and to let them know that we appreciate their sacrifice.
