Paranormal Activity 3 and a Script-Writing Update

A blog post about a scary movie you need to watch, as well as a writing update.

Hi my name is Matty,

Yesterday night I was gonna watch TV, but decided to watch the newest installment of the "Paranormal Activity" franchise.  I liked the first one because of it's new film stlye and suspense.

The 2nd I liked as well, just not as much as the first. So when I turned on the 3rd, I wasn't expecting anything special. But to my surprise I ended up liking it the most of the three. If you haven't seen it or any of the film I highly recommend spending a night watching them in order.

The ending of this one was very open.  By open I mean that the writers ended it with a handful of unanswered questions.  Some people say it's their least favorite just because of that.  But to the people who haven't seen it yet; they are making a 4th installment.  So don't judge it based on the ending.

The silence of the film is what scares me the most.  I watch the movie & see these stationary shots & wide open spaces thinking "Something's gonna happen, I just know it."  So my mind is making things up & when I think something's gonna happen... it does, & it still scares me.

After watching the movie I was very inspired to get off my butt & do some writing for my full length film "Not Alone" (working title).  I'm trying to make it as good & scary as all the low budget horror flicks we see, but it will be nothing like them.

Writing went well, but I was kind of sad. I'm at the point in my script where I'm going to have to kill one of my characters. The story is based on a true story, so I can't avoid it. I can't wait for you to see it.

So the point of this blog post was to tell you to see Paranormal Activity 3 or all of them if you haven't yet. And to update you on my writing.
