Loyalty Day Parade Route/Parking Information

The annual parade is this Sunday, May 6. Find out which roads will be closed and where you can get a good spot along the route.

On May 6, 2012, New Lenox will host its annual Loyalty Day Parade. As in the past, the parade is sponsored by the of New Lenox.

Approximate parade times are 2-4 p.m. The parade starts at the (Old Library) on South Cedar Road, proceeds north on
Cedar, west on Haven and north on Veterans Parkway to the Veterans Memorial on the New Lenox Village Commons.

Police and ESDA personnel will control access to the parade route beginning at about 12:30 p.m.

Affected residents near the parade route will be allowed access to their homes prior to the start of the parade as safety permits. As the parade passes, affected roads will be opened.

There will be no parking along Haven Avenue, South Cedar Road and Veterans Parkway after 8 a.m. on parade day.

Citizens needing access to the near and during parade time should take the following route: take Route 30, turn south on Vine, and west on Livingston, to the police department as directed by officers posted in that area.
