Help a Family That Lost its Home: New Life Church Collecting Items

On Monday, a Homer Township family lost its home in a fire. Members of New Life Church are collecting gift cards to local restaurants and department stores to help around the holidays.

More than any other time of year, the holidays are a time to love thy neighbor. And a New Lenox church is doing just that.

On Monday, the Kadow family lost everything in a fire that destroyed their home in Homer Township, New Lenox's neighbor. The family fortunately survived, but they're living in a motel for the holidays and only have the goods they carried out of the house.

If you would like to help, the church asks that you purchase a gift card and bring it or mail it to the New Life Church office, 500 S. Gougar Rd, New Lenox, IL 60451.

Listed below is the family members living in the house when it burned.  As you will see, anything we can do will be helpful. Finally please pray for this family in this difficult time.

According to the church, the members of the family living in the home include parents Don and Tina Kadow and sons Jake (20) and Jon (18). The Kudows have a third son, Michael, who is currently serving in the military, and he has a wife named Mandy. They have three children together: Natalie (6), Kennedy (2) and Kerrigan (7 months).
