Second doubles trouble for Marist

The Celtics second doubles team of Lizzie Eggen and Mary-Beth Galick had to come back in the second set, down 3-2, and did to win 6-3 and take the third and winning point, giving Providence a 3-2 win over Marist on Tuesday afternoon in New Lenox.

Hannah Davis (1st singles) and Maggie and Kelly Ruane (1st doubles) both won easily, so for the team to win, one other player(s) is needed to get that third and decisive point. Tuesday it was Eggen and Galick. On Monday at Lockport, it was the same scenario with first singles and first doubles winning easily, but it was Elise Morris who battled hard, going to three sets to secure the win for the Celtics 3-2 over Sectional rival Lockport.
