With a shuffled lineup on Tuesday at Nazareth Academy, the Providence lady Celtics could not win the third and deciding point to take the match. The two winning teams included seniors Maggie and Kelly Ruane at first doubles, winning 6-0, 6-1; and Lizzie Eggen and Elise Morris at second doubles, winning 6-4, 6-3.
This drops Providence record to 12-4 overall and 2-2 in the East Suburban Catholic Conference. The team will host Benet Academy on Thursday at 4:15 p.m. Benet always presents the toughest challenge of the year for the Celtics with an ultra-talented roster from top to bottom.
