Provena Medical Group Welcomes Pediatrician Specializing in Teen Addiction, Depression and Eating Disorders

NEW LENOX, IL (September 20, 2012) – Pediatrician Heather Anne Decker, M.D., is the newest doctor to join Provena Medical Group’s new state-of-the-art Healing Arts Pavilion. A board-certified pediatric physician, Dr. Decker treats children of all ages, from infancy to young adult, and is known for her expert care in treating psychological issues such as eating disorders, depression and addiction in adolescents and teens. Her clinical interests also include childhood obesity, nutrition and asthma. She likes to educate patients on the importance of vaccinations, baby and child care, including babysitting needs, and attention deficient disorder.

Dr. Decker earned her medical degree from Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine, and completed her residency at Hope Children’s Hospital at Christ Advocate Medical Center. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and the recipient of several awards given by The American Academy of Pediatrics for excellence in patient care. She is on staff at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center.

“It is my privilege to not only be a physician, but also an educator, a source of encouragement, and someone with whom to share concerns,” said Dr. Decker.

Her office is located at 410 East Lincoln Highway (Route 30 near Cooper Rd.), in the Healing Arts Pavilion. The new 45,000-square-foot facility is home to an immediate care center for fast medical attention, physician offices for primary care, and specialists in cardiology, pediatrics, and geriatrics. High-level diagnostic services are also available.
