Old Plank Trail Community Bank Donates to United Methodist Church

Old Plank Trail Community Bank Donates to United Methodist Church 

Old Plank Trail Community Bank believes in community outreach on a variety of levels and recognizes needs within the community.  With this mission, Paul Slade, Old Plank Trail Community Bank President, and Frank Costa, Old Plank Trail Community Bank Executive Vice President, presented the United Methodist Church with a check in the amount of $500.00 on Monday, December 3, 2012. The check was accepted by Pastor Carr and Paula Krohn, United Methodist Church Bookkeeper.

United Methodist Church has been a solid foundation in New Lenox – just recently celebrating its 175th anniversary. United Methodist Church offers assistance to its members who are in need through a variety of resources such as counseling, prayer and faith interaction. The Church also collects donations from its members to assist these families with utility bills, food and shelter.

To assist United Methodist Church with this mission, Old Plank Trail Community Bank offered a $500 donation to help this fund during these very difficult economic times. These funds will be divided between two families within the congregation this holiday season so that they will be able to have electricity, heat, water and food. The recipients of the gift from United Methodist Church are interviewed by Pastor Carr and his staff to find the most need within their congregation.
