New Lenox Library Tees Off 1st Mini-Golf Fundraiser

The New Lenox Public Library District put on its first ever Mini-Golf Fundraiser inside the library Oct. 27.

More than 300 people came to golf at the movie-themed course. The library raised over $4,200. The money will go towards building a digital media lab in the adult services department.

Golfers were asked to vote for their favorite hole. Each hole was decorated based on a different movie, including Despicable Me, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Alice in Wonderland and The Wizard of Oz. The winning hole was decorated by the Friends of the New Lenox Public Library and was based on The Wizard of Oz. The winners received $100 which was generously donated back to the Library.
