Big Bad Pumpkin Party Draws Crowds to Walker Park

Hay-stuffed scarecrows, cornstalks and orange pumpkins are part of Americana. The New Lenox Park District was spot-on in attracting crowds to a host of autumn festivities.

On a beautiful fall day, the sights and sounds of Halloween were everywhere at the New Lenox Community Park District’s Annual Big Bad Pumpkin Party.

This free event included various activities that delighted all those in attendance. In addition, what pumpkin party would be complete without face painting, an inflatable and hay rides.

Families together were eager to experience the many hands-on crafts, games, and even an encounter with a witch and her cauldrons. All in attendance also were entered into a free raffle for a chance to win a pumpkin to begin their family’s holiday decorating.
