Veteran’s Day Event at St. Jude, New Lenox

St. Jude’s L.I.F.E. Enrichment program is hosting a special film presentation in honor of U.S. Military Veterans on Friday, November 11, 2011.  All area U.S. Veterans are invited to view the film: The Miracle of Father Kapaun.”  This is the story of a man from Kansas, who became an extraordinary priest. He served and died as a Chaplain in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. This historical and personal biography of Fr. Kapaun includes testimonials from soldiers who knew him personally and served with him as prisoners of war.  Fr. Kapaun is now being considered for nomination for the U.S. Medal of Honor.

Join us for this Veteran’s Day celebration at St. Jude’s, 241 W. Second Ave. in Franciscan Hall, from 1:00–3:00 p.m. Come and let us show our appreciation for the time you have served your fellow citizens. Families of those who have served are welcome to join us.

In order to accommodate all those wishing to attend, please RSVP to mmcbride@stjudes.org or call Marilynne McBride@ 815-463-4223.
