Community Update

The Wauconda Township Republican Club had their 2014 Primary Candidate Endorsement Vote on Jan. 14.
The Theme of the Evening was Reform Promoted With New Energy.
Each of the candidates for the following offices were discussed at length by the club membership and received in excess of the required 70% of the vote needed for endorsement. Jeri Atleson is endorsed for Lake County Treasurer and Bob Grogan is endorsed for Illinois State Treasurer. Jim Oberweis is endorsed for U.S. Senate and for Republican candidate for governor, the WTRC endorses Bruce Rauner.
Both Jeri Atleson (Lake Co. Treasurer) and Bob Grogan (State Treasurer) are CPA’s and bring real world experience in the proper handling of funds to these offices. Jim Oberweis is a veteran of several campaigns and has the “thick skin” and singularity of purpose necessary to defeat Sen. Durbin. Bruce Rauner is eager to promote reform in state government and job creation throughout Illinois.
The WTRC will work hard to ensure that these candidates’ message is delivered throughout Wauconda Township. It’s Time to Get Illinois Back on Track!
