Pet Envy Spa Celebrates Grand Opening/Ribbon Cutting With A Community Dog Day

 Grand Opening Community Dog Day

Pet Envy Spa is pleased to announce its Grand Opening Celebration and Community Dog Day, which will take place on Saturday, April 26th, 2014 from 1:00PM-5:00PM at the newly opened pet grooming spa, located at 200 E. North St., Unit B, in Manhattan. An event tent will also be set up to offer extra space.“We’re very pleased to announce our Grand Opening Celebration, and we wanted to do something for the community. It’s our plan to have the Community Dog Day be an annual tradition,” said co-owner Marcy Kwiatkowski.
The Community Dog Day will feature special guest Dr. Coyne of Midwest Animal Hospital, who will offer discounted microchipping, vaccinations, and wellness checks. Animals from local pet rescues Hannah’s Safe Haven, Cache Creek Animal Rescue, and NAWS will be available for adoption. Additionally, attendees can pick up baked pet treats for a small donation to the rescues at the event and learn training tricks from Clicker Canines.
Manhattan Mayor James Doyle and other village board members will be present to offer a few remarks and assist with the ribbon cutting. “Manhattan is a great town, and we’re so happy that our village representatives are available to help out,” said Ashlee Barger, co-owner of Pet Envy.
The first 50 people in attendance will receive a doggy bag with treats and discounts. The event will also feature raffle prizes and light refreshments, as well as an appearance by Pet Envy Spa’s mascot, Benny the Bulldog. Free parking is available in the community lot directly across the street from the spa.
