Marchelloni's Pizza helps Endorse Foundation

Marchelloni's Pizza has teamed up with the New Lenox Fire Foundation to endorse the Save-A-Life Raffle.  The annual raffle assists the New Lenox Fire Protection District to purchase up-to-date life-saving equipment for the Advanced Life Support ambulances and engines.  Marchelloni's is lending a hand by placing informational flyers on carry out items.

In the past two years of the raffle, the foundation was able to purchase 12 Lead Electrocardiogram (EKG) monitors for all five ambulances, four engines, and the truck.  The monitors allow paramedics to view the heart in 10 different views, allowing them to see if someone is having a heart attack almost anywhere in the heart.  This procedure takes approximately one minute while still in the residence.  The findings are then sent via cell phone straight to the hospital before leaving the patient's home.

The raffle tickets are available at fire station one, located at 261 E. Maple Street for $10.  The raffle tickets can also be purchased at the final pancake breakfst on March 24th, also at station one.  There will also be an Early Bird Raffle drawing during the pancake breakfast for a 32 inch flat screen TV.  Other prizes include $1000 in cash, a trip to Cancun, and an Apple IPAD II.  The final drawing will be held on May 13th at noon at station one, the winner does not need to be present.
