Avoid the "Snow Tow"

To effectively clear all streets, any vehicle parked there must be removed. Once the snow depth reaches 2 inches, all vehicles must be removed from the street. The village advises moving your car as soon as it begins to snow to avoid problems later in the day or the next morning. If vehicles aren't removed, you could be ticketed or towed per village code.

The village also prohibits pushing or blowing snow from private driveways into public roads. It can create driving hazards and make subsequent snow removal more difficult. You may be ticketed for violating this village ordinance.

Warming Center Available

The offers a warming center and assistance in case your heat isn't working or your car is stuck in the road. If you need assistance, call the department at 815-462-6100 until 5 p.m. and 815-485-2500 after business hours.
