IDOT: Bridge Inspections at I-80 over Des Plaines River, Expect Lane Closures
The Illlinois Department of Transportation begins bridge inspection on April 30. Expect daily lane closures at the Interstate 80 bridge over the Des Plaines River in Joliet.
The Illlinois Department of Transportation announced that traffic heading west toward Joliet on Interstate 80 should be aware of daily lane closures beginning April 30.
An IDOT bridge inspection project is slated to result in daily lane closures at the Interstate 80 bridge over the Des Plaines River in Joliet. The closures will be set up and removed during off-peak travel hours Monday through Thursday, according to a news release issued by the city of Joliet.
The project will begin with interruptions to westbound traffic and move to the eastbound side by May 6.
