Converging Storms Will Lead to Wet Snow Tonight

The National Weather Service is predicting between 6 and 7 inches of snow tonight into morning and generally nasty conditions.

The National Weather Service is predicting that two storm systems will cross paths Thursday night, making a slippery mess of wet snow and rain until Friday morning.

Snowfall is expected to be around 6 to 7 inches. Read the hazardous weather alert by the National Weather Service:

Several inches of heavy, wet snow are expected along and north of the Interstate-80 corridor, with the heaviest snow likely occurring during theevening and early overnight hours with thunder and lightning possible during the heaviest snow. Only a few inches of accumulation is expected south of Interstate 80.

The snow is expected to fall heaviest after 8 p.m., at a rate greater than an inch an hour.
