Lenten Series at Trinity Lutheran

Pastor Hoag to perform Biblical character roles

This year for Lent, Trinity Lutheran Church will be presenting a series of Wednesday evening worship services entitled The Trials of Jesus: Voices for the Prosecution.

Each week I will be playing a different Biblical character (in full costume, of course), describing that character's encounter with Jesus.  Through their accounts we come to know the truth-- that Jesus took our place in the defendant's chair.

On Ash Wednesday I will be playing the role of Satan, who tempted Jesus to walk a different path than the path of God's righteousness.

Other roles I'll be performing include Judas, Annas, Caiaphas, Peter, King Herod, and Pontius Pilate.

I'm cordially inviting you to visit Trinity for this Lenten Series.  All are welcome! Our services will be Wednesday evenings beginning this Wednesday at 7:30.

Just to sweeten the deal for you a bit... we have a Soup and Sandwich Supper preceding all Lenten Services (except on Ash Wednesday) beginning at 6:30. Come and have a homecooked meal on the house!  It's ideal if you're rushing to find a bite to eat for your family.

Trinity is located at 508 N. Cedar Road in New Lenox, just north of the Metra Station.  We will be happy that you came!
