Hire Me! Job Training Event at the Hub

Young people will work on skills and knowledge to make them better candidates for jobs in a tough market.

We all know it's tough to get a good job these days, especially for young people.

Businesses have slowed. Employers have cut back. Lots of adults have had to take whatever work they can get, even jobs that used to be filled by high school and college students.

But without a good job, how can a young person pay for college, buy a car, move out on their own, or do any of the other things that were commonplace a decade ago?

What should a young person do? Many have given up the job search. They spend their evenings playing Halo and Call of Duty rather than get disappointed by being turned down again.

Part of the problem is the tight market we are in. But that does not have to be the end of the story.

Lots of young people have never been taught important skills that can help them get hired--things like interviewing well, presenting themselves with professionalism, and speaking clearly, to start with.

Perhaps these are some of the reasons why they have not been called back.

I can't promise that what I'm going to tell you about can guarantee a job, but I do know that it will be worth the time and money to come.

In a few weeks we are offering a Job Training Workshop at the Hub. Tooty Inc. of Orland Park is partnering with us to teach the workshop.

Never heard of Tooty Inc.? Neither had I until I met their president. But apparently they are really good at what they do!

Take a look at their client list. It's pretty impressive: Marriott, General Mills, Coca-Cola, Microsoft, to name a few. Have you heard of them?

So here's what I propose. Come to this workshop. Invest some time and money into yourself (or your son or daughter) so you'll be more appealing as a job candidate. It's just a few hours on a Saturday morning, and you'll get a free lunch, too.
