Boost Your Math Score! Help for the Math Section of the ACT

Are you or someone you know taking the ACT this month? Need some extra help to get ready for the math section? Here's a great option!

Much of the community may know me from the Hub. However, I also tutor high school math and science during the week, and that includes ACT preparation.

Well, the ACT is just around the corner (April 13 & April 23). It tests students’ proficiency in English, math, reading, and science. Hopefully, high school juniors and seniors have utilized the ACT prep programs that their schools offer.

However, we all know that some students struggle particularly with math.  With this in mind, I’ve put together a workshop to give students a crash course in the content they will face on the math portion of the ACT.

The program is a 4-hour, single setting workshop that reviews the Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Geometry, and Trigonometry concepts on the ACT.

There are currently four dates for the workshop: Wednesday nights (6pm-10pm) on April 3, 10, and 17, and Saturday morning (9am-1pm) on April 20. The workshops will be held at the Hub in New Lenox.

There is a minimum requirement of five students per workshop and a maximum of twenty. The cost is $50 per student.

The announcement of this program comes a little late, so we might have to wait until next year for people to plan on it. Even so, if there are parents and students in the community that want to take advantage of this option, they can go to www.themathact.com and register.

Don’t delay, though. I will keep the workshops available for up to three days before they are scheduled. If we have enough interest in each workshop, it’ll be a go!

Good luck!
