Old Plank Trail Community Bank’s annual Pant for the Pantry 5K is held to assist their local food pantry. Currently, the food pantry is experiencing record level demand each week. The food pantry does not operate on tax dollars, but solely on donations from the community. In 2012, the race saw over 370 participants of all ages from over 45 different cities and towns, plus many volunteers who came to help make the race a safe and fun experience for all. At the end of the race, they had two full truckloads of food items to donate to the New Lenox Township Food Pantry and were also able to donate $10,000 from various sponsors.

More registration and event information on the 3rd Annual Pant for the Pantry 5K Race can be found at www.pantforpantry.com.
