Shocking—New Lenox Restaurant Papa Joe's Owes Electric Co. $19,020.40: Lawsuit
ComEd wants to get paid by Papa Joe's.
The New Lenox restaurant Papa Joe's owes the electric company $19,020.40, according to a lawsuit filed Wednesday.
Commonwealth Edison brought the legal action against Papa Joe's in Will County court.
"Despite repeated demands, Defendant had failed to pay the electric bills in their entirety for service at" the restaurant, according to the lawsuit.
Papa Joe's won the Best Sausage Pizza and Best Specialty Pizza awards at a February 2012 New Lenox pizza popularity contest.
A paper sign hanging at the entrance of the restaurant said the dining room is no longer open but carryouts can be ordered after 10 a.m.
