Job Opening at New Lenox Police Department

The New Lenox Police Department is seeking to fill a part-time police service specialist position. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required. The job entails data entry, customer service and clerical skills. For more information, view the description on the Village of New Lenox website.

Why is bilingual, English/Spanish preferred in New Lenox? How many NL residents are bilingual? I've lived here for over 30 yrs; I guess I don't qualify.

That's because most of the people they pull over during their "random" checks are Spanish speaking.

People coming from the east will now have to fight through school traffic at Rt. 30/Schoolhouse.…Read More People from southwest New Lenox will have to either venture up Cedar, which is painfully slow... or take Spencer from Laraway, in which they will have to cross Rt. 30 to go straight. Won't be an easy picnic.
