The Cakebox, Etc. was a bakery along Illinois Highway that specialized in wedding and custom-design cakes, but the owners announced they were closing after Thanksgiving.

A call to the Cakebox shows the phone line is still connected, but an owner says, "We are now closed. We appreciate your patronage over the last five years and support"

Co-owners Holly Ashley and Tia Willis opened the shop after they met while studying culinary arts at Joliet Junior College and continued working together at the college's Renaissance Center for several years.
