Senior Night a winner for Lady Celtics Tennis Team. Wins, pins, flowers and appreciation for a good group of seniors.

Jamie Noonan, a senior playing her third year on the Providence Celtics varsity tennis team won at second doubles today with partner Marybeth Galick 6-0, 6-2, defeating East Suburban Conference opponent St. Viator.  The win helped the lady Celtics seal the 3-2 win. The other winners included juniors Maggie and Kelly Ruane at first doubles with a  6-0, 6-0 victory and talented freshman Hannah Davis at first singles 6-0, 6-0.

In a ceremony following the match Noonan and seniors Mary Claire Burchett, Maeve Pell and Marissa Wilko each were presented with a senior pin and yellow rose from principal Don Sebestyen, athletic director Doug Ternik and head coach Ben Thompson in appreciation for their contribution to the tennis team.

Noonan earned a trip to the State Tournament last year with partner Julia Patzin and made it to the second round. With her new doubles partner Galick (Patzin graduated), they are both very athletic and competitive and beginning to click as a doubles team. They are expected to do well at the Sectional Tournament this year and earn a trip to State.
