Lincoln-Way West Applauds Top Students

The top 15 seniors, juniors and sophomores at Lincoln-Way West High School were honored at a breakfast with the principal.

Lincoln-Way West High School honored its top academic students on Sept. 11 and gave information to parents about the process for finding the right college for their students.

"I am very proud to introduce to you the Top 15 students in the senior, junior, and sophomore classes. These students are all very hard workers who are dedicated to their education. In addition to spending time on their studies, they also are involved in a number of school and community activities," Monica Schmitt, principal, told the crowd of parents. 

Parents were invited to sign up for the Breakfast with the Principal at the school's Back to School Night. Over 160 attended the morning event held in the lobby of the auditorium.

Lincoln-Way Central hosted a breakfast with parents on Sept. 4, Lincoln-Way East will be Sept. 8, and Lincoln-Way North will be held on Sept. 25. 

The Top 15 seniors in the class of 2014 in alpha order are: Sarah Bonamino, Alan Burggren, Hannah Enyart, Peter Grubisich, John Haug, Haleigh Hunter, Zachary Johnson, Lauren Medendorp, Christopher Motto, Anthony Prospero, Richard Puig, Jennifer Richardson, Jourdyn Senyard, Kevin Staniszewski, and Eric Zang. 

The Top 15 juniors in the class of 2015 in alpha order are: Erin Dolan, Simon Egner, Jacob Gasparich, Emma Hahs, Hannah Hunter, Meghann Lange, Stephanie McDonald, Raymundo Muro-Barrios, Daniel Petrou, Sarah Richardson, Nicole Singleton, Miranda St. Amour, Sydney St. Leger, Brandon Voss and Alexandra Wasko. 

The Top 15 sophomores in the class of 2016 in alpha order are: Abriella Caravette, Anna-Christina Crisman, Jenna Czart, Olivia DeGroot, Allison Fron, Ryan Hastings, April Lewandowski, Daniel McGrory, Amanda Medendorp, Grace Monti, Julia Monti, Jacquelyn Moore, Sabrina Norton, Dario Panici and Rachel Singh.
