The 28th annual Proud American Days festivities are this week, July 28-31 in New Lenox. Get a rundown of the schedule here.

Four days of fun are coming to the Home of Proud Americans this weekend. Proud American Days is back in New Lenox from July 28-31, and we've got a complete rundown of all the events.

Everything takes place near the New Lenox Park District's , 1 Manor Drive, and the ' performing arts pavilion, 1 Veterans Parkway. Carnival tickets are $1 each and can be use at any Windy City Carnival Event. Unlimited Ride Wristbands will be put on by staff at time of purchase.

Thursday, July 28

  • 5 p.m. Entertainment Tent open until midnight
  • 6 p.m. Carnival Games and Rides open until 10 p.m. (Unlimited Ride Wristbands for $20). Advanced ticket sales begin at 4 p.m., weather permitting.
  • 6 p.m. "Mud-Night" Volleyball Tournament. Ages 18 and up, pool play. At Firefighters Park. Registration deadline is Wednesday, July 27, and costs $75 per team. Teams may have up to eight players,
  • 6:30 p.m. Bags Tournament, ages 21 and up. At the entertainment tent. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m. and is $20 per team.
  • 7:30 p.m. Main Stage Entertainment: Maggie Speaks performs from 7:30–11:30 p.m., $7 cover charge.

Friday, July 29

  • Noon Lions Club Special Needs Day, at the Entertainment Tent. By invitation only, runs until 3 p.m.
  • Noon New Lenox Township "Fill the Bus" food drive on the Village Commons. Available until 5 p.m.
  • 5 p.m. Entertaint Tent open until midnight
  • 5 p.m. Carnival Games and Rides open until 11 p.m. (no unlimited ride wristbands)
  • 5 p.m. Main Stage Entertainment: Rock and roll cover band Black Cadillac performs from 5-8 p.m. and the Hairbangers Ball performs from 8 p.m. to midnight, $7 cover charge.
  • 6 p.m. "Mud-Night" Volleyball Tournament. Ages 18 and up, pool play. At Firefighters Park. Registration deadline is Thursday, July 28, and costs $75 per team. Teams may have up to eight players.
  • 6:30 p.m. Bags Tournament, ages 21 and up. At the entertainment tent. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m. and is $20 per team.
  • 6:30 p.m. Teen Battle of the Bands at the Performing Arts Pavilion. Goes until 9:30 p.m.

Saturday, July 30

  • 8:30 a.m. Proud American Baby contest. On-site registration is $15. Goes until 11 a.m.
  • 9 a.m. Co-Ed Mud Volleyball Tournament. Ages 18 and up, double elimination. At Firefighters Park. Check-in and on-site registration is from 8-8:45 a.m., and costs $130 per team. Teams may have up to eight players.
  • 9 a.m. Pets on Parade, at the Performing Arts Pavilion. Check-in begins at 8:45 a.m. Followed by a free pet photo session at 10 a.m.
  • 11:30 a.m. Big Wheel Race/Decorating Contest at the Performing Arts Pavilion. Check-in begins at 11 a.m. and the race begins at 11:45 a.m. and goes until 12:30 p.m.
  • Noon Entertainment Tent open until 11 p.m.
  • Noon Carnival Games and Rides open until 11 p.m. (Unlimited Ride Wristbands for $20 from noon to 4 p.m.)
  • Noon New Lenox Township "Fill the Bus" food drive on the Village Commons. Available until 5 p.m.
  • 12:30 p.m. Cheerleading Demonstration in the bags tournament area.
  • 1 p.m. Family Fun Extravaganza at the Entertainment Tent. Free activities and contests for kids, juggling act, Oreo-stacking contest, candy relay, hulu hoop contest and more. Runs until 4 p.m.
  • 5 p.m.Main Stage Entertainment: Rock group Red DB performs from 5-8 p.m., and British invasion cover band The New Invaders perform from 8 p.m. to midnight, $7 cover charge.
  • 6:30 p.m. Bags Tournament, ages 21 and up. At the entertainment tent. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m. and is $20 per team.

Sunday, July 31

  • 8 a.m. Fun Run: Check in at 8 a.m., race begins at 9 a.m. Registration is $25, with $5 per runner being donated to the Armed Forces.
  • 11 a.m. Co-Ed Mud Volleyball Tournament, ages 12-17. Double elimination tournament at Firefighters Park. Registration deadline is Friday, July 29 and costs $75 per team. Team may have up to eight people and there will always be six players on the court at all times.
  • 11:30 a.m. Military Tribute at the entertainment tent. All past and current military presonnel are encouraged to come.
  • Noon Chamber of Commerce Business Expo in the Lions Community Center, entry C. Features local businesses.
  • Noon Classic Car Show in the New Lenox Public Library's parking lot. No registration needed, special prize to the winner of the people's choice. Goes until 3 p.m.
  • Noon Entertainment Tent open until 10 p.m.
  • Noon Carnival Games and Rides open until 10 p.m. (Unlimited Ride Wristbands for $20 from noon to 4 p.m.)
  • 1 p.m. Family Bags Tournament at the Entertainment Tent. For ages 12 and up, $10 per team. Sign up begins at 12:30 p.m. and the tournament runs until 4 p.m.
  • 2 p.m. Family Bingo until 3:30 p.m. at the family area pavilion.
  • 2:30 p.m. Name That Tune, New Lenox Style. At the Entertainment Tent, for ages 18 and up. Pre-registration is open from 1-2 p.m. and costs $10 for a team of three people. Features music from the 1950s to present.
  • 6 p.m. Main Stage Entertainment: Country band Lucky Town performs, no cover charge. Show ends at 10 p.m.
