PHOTOS: Night Ranger, Ides of March Rock New Lenox

The Triple Play Concert Series opened with a beautiful evening and great music. If you have photos from the show, share them on Patch!

The New Lenox Village Commons was rocking Saturday as Night Ranger and Ides of March opened the 2012 Triple Play Concert Series.

Peace Museum was the first band to go on, playing some great classic rock songs that included American Girl by Tom Petty and Carry on My Wayward Son by Kansas, as well as some good originals.

Ides of March, led by .38 Special and Survivor frontman Jim Peterik, was the second band, and Peterik might have stolen the show (look for video in the next day or two). During a 15-minute version of Eye of the Tiger, Peterik ran through the crowd with his guitar, danced with fans, stopped to take photos and at one point appeared to do a semi-somersault.

Finally, the headlining band came on and delivered. Night Ranger kept fans waiting for their favorite song, Sister Christian, which featured Mayor Tim Baldermann singing and some other fans he brought up on stage.
