Leopard and Witch Win Readers' Vote in Halloween Contest

The votes are in, and the winner of Patch's Halloween Costume Contest is Kelly McDonald, who submitted the photo of Katie as a leopard and Alana as a witch.

With 200+ total votes and 43 percent of the total vote, Kelly must either have a huge network of friends or figured out how to vote multiple times.

  • 32 percent to Claire, submitted by Leslie Rissmiller, who had three photos, Abby Cadabby, Tinkerbell and Ariel.
  • 8 percent to Felicia and Ken DePyper as The Red Queen and The Mad Hatter.
  • 2 percent each for the Infant Jesus of Prague and Dorothy, the Scarecrow and the Tin Man from "Wizard of Oz."

The winner gets a tricks-and-treats prize: A $25 gift card to Riley's Tricks Shop in Worth, and a $10 gift card to in Mokena.
