Foreigner Rocks New Lenox

Foreigner band members played to the audience Aug. 31 in New Lenox.

Foreigner, the famed 1970s and 1980s rock band, took the stage at 9 p.m. Aug. 31 in New Lenox.

The sold out performance was filled with fans of all ages. But For Dino and Laura Grando of New Lenox the concert was a chance to reminisce about the day they first met in 1979 in Joliet. They were teenagers then. They song that became their theme was "I Want to Know What Love Is."

Jennifer Sheridan of New Lenox said she was looking forward to a good time. And the band did not let her down. The lead vocalist, Kelly Hansen, stepped toward the crowd where he was lifted up to shake hands while singing "Cold As Ice."
