“The performance is a collection of five, ten minute, one-act plays done in 'black box' style. 'Black Box' is a style of theater in which the actors perform on a simple and scaled down stage, with the audience seated within the staging area.

"It requires  a more “pure” form of an acting experience for the actors and for the audience. Our students are really excited about this format,” noted Beth Wilson-Schnura, West Auditorium Coordinator/ Winter Play Director.

The five one-act selections are: “Everything” by Nick Nedza; “Murder Most Foul” by Don Lowry; “Silent Dancer” by Mike Willis; “Hopeless Hamlet” by Wade Bradford; and “Who Gets Charlie?” by Mike Willis.

“Each selection brings true life experiences that will leave you laughing, reminiscing, or maybe even a tear in your eye,” said Wilson-Schnura.

“We have a special treat to have one of our seniors, Chad Shingler, directing two of the one acts in this production. Chad has taken on the challenge of learning a new type of theater, “Black Box”, stated Wilson-Schnura.
