Joliet Symphony Orchestra Winter Concert

The University of St. Francis Department of Music and Performing Arts is proud to host the Joliet Symphony Orchestra’s December concert, “Orchestral Masterworks of Beethoven.”

The performance will take place in Sexton Auditorium in the university’s Moser Performing Arts Center.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for seniors, alumni, and non-USF students. USF employees and students will be admitted for free.

Conductor James Stopher will lead the all-Beethoven program, which includes “Egmont Overture,” “Elegischer Gesang” for chorus and strings (with members of USF Schola Cantorum, directed by Patrick Brannon) and “Symphony No. 7.”

The Joliet Symphony Orchestra at the University of St. Francis, founded in 2005 as a university-community partnership, performs varied works for orchestra and is open to USF students, faculty, and staff, as well as members of the area community.
