“The event is in honor of Dr. Suess’s birthday on March 2. He would have celebrated his 107th birthday this March. Cake, punch and coffee will be served,” added Jennifer Bromann-Bender, West librarian.

The program is in cooperation with the Lincoln-Way Central and West Reading program to encourage young people to read for education and read for pleasure.

“Reading is such an integral part of life-long learning, we want all our citizens to enjoy and experience the power of reading. To improve one’s reading is simple, just read, read, and read,” noted Bridget Scheer, Reading Department Chair for Central and West.
