And the 2013 Triple Play Bands Are...

New Lenox Mayor Tim Baldermann revealed Tuesday the three headliners for the 2013 Triple Play Concert Series. Find out who will be rocking your suburb this year.

Mayor Tim Baldermann announced the three headlining bands for the annual Triple Play Concert Series. This year, we'll see Bad Company, Rick Springfield and Foreigner.

Tickets go on sale Monday, April 1, at Village Hall and will be available for $50 to residents in the 60451 zip code through May 10. The $50 price has not changed. It buys you one pass that provides entrance to all three shows.

If any of the 5,000 tickets are still available after that, they will be sold for $60 to anyone, not just residents.

Bad Company will be the first concert in the Triple Play Concert Series, now in its fifth year.

"The great thing about Bad Company is they haven't played in the Chicago area since 2001," said Baldermann. Three of the four original band members will be on stage. Lead singer Paul Rodgers will be here, he said. Before joining Bad Company, Rodgers was the lead singer in the band Free. He also played in the band The Firm, with Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin fame.

"We're so excited about Bad Company," said the mayor. "And the ladies have been asking for Rick Springfield for years." Foreigner has topped the list of requests too, he added.

All shows are at the Village Commons performing arts pavilion, which were packed last year after all 5,000 tickets sold out.

Baldermann said the Village has crowd control "down to a science. People are here just to have a good time with friends and neighbors. They're very respectful."

No blankets would be allowed from the standing room area in front of the stage to the top of the hill, and aisles would be painted off to make it easier for fans to walk in and exit. There would still be space for blankets on the back and sides of the hill.

The gates will open at 5:30 p.m. Each concert will have two opening bands. "We haven't selected them yet. We probably won't know that till May," he added. But according to the schedule, the opening bands will play from 5:45-6:45 p.m. and from 7:15-8:15 p.m. The headliners will take the stage at 9 p.m.

The official websites for the bands are:
