St. Jude Music Ministry Performs Christmas Cantata

The Music Ministry of the Catholic Community of St. Jude, New Lenox, presented the Christmas Cantata The Mystery and the Majesty, written by Joseph M. Martin on Sunday, Nov. 28 in the church.

Santa's Workshop at LWSRA

Bring your unwrapped boxed presents to the LWSRA office between Dec. 6 and Dec. 17 or to the Family Holiday Party on Dec. 6. Santa's Little Helpers will wrap each present and make them look professionally wrapped.

Reading Tutoring Available at GSU

Governors State University's Graduate Program in Reading is sponsoring The Literacy Zone, a reading tutorial program for students in grades six through high school, on Tuesdays, from Feb. 1 through April 26, from 4:45-6:30 p.m.

L-Way West Student Receives West Point Appointment

Lincoln-Way West senior Leo St. Amour received the letter in the mail he has been waiting and working toward. The letter from Lt. General David H. Huntoon Jr. said that St. Amour had earned an appointment to the U.S. Military Academy, West Point, New York.
