ShareFest 2013 is Collecting for the Troops
ShareFest 2013 promotes 11 Days of Giving and a total of 30 Days of Service throughout the month of September. A collection for the troops is the campaign's overall community outreach.
The VFW and American Legion have joined forces in the ShareFest 2013 community outreach campaign. The two veterans organizations have organized a Collection for the Troops during ShareFest 2013's 11 Days of Giving.
Linda Paschall of the VFW, 323 Old Hickory Road, and Ray Garza from the American Legion, 14414 Ford Drive, are the organizers for the Collection for the Troops. The troops are in need of basic commodities, said Paschall, such as body wash, wash cloths, canned soups, jerky, coffee, drink singles, protein and granola bars and the like. Financial donations are appreciated as well, she said.
Donations can be made until Sept. 14 at various locations around town.
