Now Open: Just 4 U Cafe in New Lenox Library
The cafe is open for business inside the library at 120 Veterans Parkway.
A cafe in the New Lenox Public Libray is open for business.
Just 4 U Cafe opened Saturday, March 29. Manhattan residents Debbie and Mark Vejvoda are the fifth vendors in 12 years to attempt bringing brews to the books.
Hours will be 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday and Saturday. They will serve hot and cold beverages, soups, pastries, sandwiches and more.
A sour economy and low traffic have been cited as the main reasons that Novel Brew, Windy City Espresso, Book and Bean Cafe and the Bookworm Cafe did not succeed in the space at 120 Veterans Parkway.
The menu and upcoming specials will be posted on the library’s website. A large, 20-ounce coffee runs customers $1, and sandwiches range in price from $3.50 to $4.50. Soups and salads are also available, in addition to muffins, cookies, brownies and more.
